with the scarf bibi special edition we are presenting a project that means a lot for us - we created a limited edition of BIBI scarves in a variety of color styles.
from every BIBI purchase we donate 10€ to a bee presevation project
The scarf TAKO is our third special edition in which we would like to donate part of the proceeds to a charity or nature project - this time it is for a conservation program that works for the long-term protection of the kelp seaforest in south africa.
In the design of the scarf TAKO - the japanese word for octopus - you can find creatures of all kinds and TAKO is dedicated to them - it is our small contribution to protect their habitat.
10€ of every sold scarf will be donated to the sea change project - find more information about the project on their website www.seachangeproject.com
Octopuses are ocean creatures that are most famous for having eight arms and bulbous heads.
They have three hearts, nine brains and blue blood and they can squirt ink to deter predators.
The octopus is the most notorious animal for mastering camouflage techniques. it can change not only its color, but also its texture and shape in order to blend in with the environment.
Being boneless, they can squeeze into - or out of - tight spaces and they are quite intelligent and have been observed using tools. Octopuses do make gardens by collecting stones and shiny things and arranging them in the sand - which led to the inspiration of the famous song ‘octopus’ garden’ written by Ringo Starr and the Beatles.
